One key factor is the availability of robust broadband infrastructures, which conditions the quality of public education, healthcare and welfare services, as well as the competitiveness of firms and economies.
Key research subjects include how policy makers in different realities are addressing this strategic issue and what impact is this actually having on the quality of life of their citizens and the competitiveness of their enterprises, and how investments in broadband infrastructures and education can develop connectivity advantages to bridge the digital divide, between mature, emerging and less developed countries, as well as between regions in the same country.
